THE CONNECTION, EXPLAINED

One ring.
Familiar hardware.

This R22 demonstration retains the body and nut of a standard WRAS-approved EN 1254 compression fitting. Its supplied copper olive is replaced by one complete RidgeLock sealing-ring assembly.

The sequence follows the RidgeLock data sheet, Rev 3, August 2026: prepare 6–7 exposed corrugations; seat the elastomer tongue in the third valley with three peaks ahead; assemble and tighten hand-tight, then three half-turns with a spanner. The animation is paced for explanation, not an installation-time claim.

Photograph-led visual geometry. Internal fitting profiles and sealing deformation are illustrative; actual manufacturer fitting shapes vary. Refer to the current installation instructions and appropriate checks before use.
