What Ridgeline is
Ridgeline is a UK-designed corrugated 316L stainless steel water system. Select the appropriate tube, connection system and product family for hot and cold water, heating, heat-pump flow and return, underfloor circuits or final flexible connections.
The tube provides a 316L stainless steel water-contact surface. Its protective outer sleeve is outside the tube. Fittings, seals, valves and connected equipment have their own materials and requirements; the tube description does not mean the entire assembly contains no polymers.
Find the evidence for your specification
Start with the selected product, size and connection system. Certificates, manufacturer data, professional education and project accounts answer different questions. Use them together, with the scope of each document kept clear.
| Evidence | What it establishes | Where to verify it |
|---|---|---|
| Product certification | The assembly, sizes and conditions listed in that certificate. P1 and RidgeLock have separate schedules; approval should not be transferred between systems. | P1 Kiwa certificate RidgeLock Kiwa certificate How to read the scope |
| Manufacturer product data | Product construction, dimensions, ratings and design information. Check the current installation instructions and distinguish mechanical ratings from certificate conditions. | P1 plumbing datasheet Underfloor datasheet Full technical library |
| Final connector selection | The construction, ends and evidence status for the exact Flexis model. Check its individual row and the supporting document before specification. | Flexis model selector |
| Professional CPD | Ridgeline's CIBSE-Approved CPD, Corrugated Stainless Steel Piping Systems for Hot & Cold Water. Course approval is distinct from product certification. | Verify the CIBSE provider listing Course and booking information |
| Published project accounts | Applications described in Ridgeline's own project accounts. These are manufacturer-published case studies, not independent controlled tests or proof of the same savings on another project. | Circle Square Vulcan |
| Calculators and illustrations | Design comparisons using stated inputs, or visual explanations of components and routes. Modelled results and animations should not be treated as measured field outcomes. | ASHP sizing inputs Heat-pump calculator Ridgeline Experience |
| Application guidance and support | Questions to help select a system and discuss the project. Final design still needs the actual service conditions, route and component specification. | Technical guides Common questions Technical support |
Technical ownership and clear claims
Ridgeline publishes these guides as the system supplier. The public CIBSE listing identifies Joel Ross, Managing Director, and Jonathon Ivett, Technical Director, in the course's technical team. Use the listing to verify the course and the contact link below to discuss product or project questions.
- Product facts should identify the selected tube, fitting, size and service conditions.
- Certificate scope, manufacturer ratings and warranty terms remain separate.
- Comparisons should use the same route and design duty, with assumptions visible.
- Guides distinguish content updates from their recorded technical review dates.
- Project experience and modelled illustrations should be labelled for what they establish.
If a document or claim needs clarification, contact the technical team with the page, product and application concerned.
Start with your application
- Whole-home material selection: compare the complete systems, water-contact materials and proposed route.
- Long or awkward heat-pump routes: assess routing, pressure loss, insulation and connection access.
- Underfloor heating: combine product selection with floor, room and circuit design.
- Project specification: collect the current data, route sketch and operating duty for a technical discussion.
